| This lovely Vintage Oil Lamp hails from Lamplight Farms in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin; a company that was founded by Donald and Rosemary Tendick in 1964. Donald had formulated a lamp oil to burn without smoke and order and started selling the oil out of their station wagon. Business exploded and by the end of 1964 they moved into a 4,000 square foot factory and extended their production to include indoor oil lamps, and eventually, outdoor torches and citronella. This Lamplight Farms Vintage Oil Lamp appears to be one of the earlier models and has concentric circles pressed into the clear glass base and a band designed with concentric squares and diagonal bisects below. The chimney is topped with a beaded or hobnail design. The Lamplight Farms Vintage Oil Lamp measures, 14.00 inches H X 06.00 inches W X 06.00 inches D, and has the Lamplight Farms marking on the wick raiser. |
