Stylized Amulet with Yellow Bands Antique Stained Glass

This is a lovely Stylized Amulet with Yellow Band Antique Stained Glass Window. Ancient Egyptians believed in the power of amulets and other charms to protect themselves from evil and to bring them good fortune. One of these amulets was the scarab, or good luck beetle, which this design resembles. With the discovery of King Tut’s tomb in 1922 Egyptian based art and design experienced a major revival and left its mark on all walks of life, including stained glass art pieces. This stylized scarab is comprised of shades of deep red, light pink and violet red. Two vertical yellow bands surround the amulet design creating a striking contrast in color. A tinge of deep purple graces the bottom of the vertical clear glass band that is poised on the far left side and far right side of the glass. A variety of heavily textured privacy glass is used throughout casting a radiant glow as the light glistens through.
