| This lovely American Pair of Antique Victorian Grain Painted Folding Chairs, circa 1880, are constructed out of solid wood and grain painted in the style of Rosewood. The folding chairs have arched top rails and finial topside stiles that blend effortlessly with their incised front and back spreaders. The chairs folding mechanism allows them to fit snuggly into a closet when not in use, so they would be easily accessible for a larger gathering, and out of sight when not needed. And although they are missing fabric, one can just imagine what they would look like once upholstered. The Pair of Antique Victorian Grain Painted Folding Chairs have the original hardware, measure 33.25 inches X 18.00 inches X 17.00 inches, and are in the original finish, with appropriate wear for their age. |
