Mid-Century Modern Desk & Chair
This Mid-Century Modern Desk & Chair, circa 1950, encompasses the streamlined appearance and sleek, uncluttered, clean lines that Mid Century designers wished to emulate. This desk and chair exemplify the stark style and simplicity of line that makes mid century modern furniture relevant in today’s homes. The desk has a very cool whitish colored formica top that has a gold and silver design and a black linear bordered skirt that is supported by straight-lined black rounded slats that rest on two formica tops in the same design. The tall slender wooden legs and metal leg caps are painted black and add just the right modern touch. The stark black metal-framed wooden chair contrast very strikingly with the desk's formica top and at the same time compliments the desk's skirt and legs. The Mid-Century Modern Desk measures, 30.00 inches H X 35.50 inches W X 17.75 inches D, and the Mid-Century Modern Chair measures, 31.50 inches H X 15.75 inches W X 21.00 inches D.
