Empire Revival Oak Buffet/Sideboard

This American Empire Revival Oak Mirror-Back Buffet/Sideboard by Bassett Furniture Company, circa 1925, is a revival of the early 19th century Empire or late Classic style. The sideboard’s elegant curved supports hold the gallery and the original Bassett mirror in place, while its S-curve stiles on the original casters support the buffet with much grace and style. The buffet has two drawers below the server and one drawer below the cupboards, so there is plenty of storage space. Use it as originally intended in the dining area, or in the bedroom as a chest or baby’s changing table, in the bathroom as a vanity, or as a credenza in the den or office for shelving the printer, fax machine, copier, scanner, and for storing all those unsightly piles of paper.
