| This American Antique Federal Style Mahogany Sideboard Buffet, dated August 31, 1911, hails from Drexel Furniture Company; which was founded in the foothills of North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Appalachian Mountains in 1903, and still in existence today under the name of Drexel Heritage. The sideboard/buffet is characteristic of the Federal Style and has gorgeous crotched mahogany front surfaces, and the original Hepplewhite style brass oval pull with bail handles. Two interior pullout drawers on the left hand side and cupboard space on the right hand side flank the center drawer. Classic incised straight-lined legs with spade feet support the sideboard/buffet and add just the right finishing touch to this classic design. Although originally intended as a dining piece, this sideboard/buffet could easily be used in the den or office to store all sorts of incidentals, in the bedroom for clothes storage, in the baby's room as a dressing table, or it in can be converted into a bathroom vanity.
