| This lovely Antique English Solid Mahogany Corner Washstand, circa 1880, is quite an unusual shape and size. Constructed out of solid mahogany, the washstand has decorative mahogany veneers, and elegant elongated curved spreader and legs that seem to add just the right finishing touch. In the closed position the washstand looks like a corner table, however, the top tier flips up and extends out to becomes a backsplash and, oolala, there is a place to hold the basin and cups, or imagine a bowl filled with potpourri. On the second tier there are two faux drawers straddling the center hand-dovetailed and hand chamfered bottom drawer, perfect for hiding keys, the remote, or small incidentals. This Antique English Solid Mahogany Corner Washstand has the original brass pulls, measures, 34.50 inches H X 24.00 inches W 17.00 inches D, in the closed position; 51.00 inches H X 24.00 inches W X 17.00 inches D, in the opened position, and is in the original finish with appropriate wear for its age. |
