Antique English Solid Brass Coal Scuttle
This Antique English Solid Brass Coal Scuttle, circa 1900, was originally made for the bedroom to hold enough coal to keep the fire going overnight. The scuttle's design is quite lovely and has a solid brass incised lid, solid brass body, solid brass decorative feet, and the original steel lift-out liner. The Antique English Solid Brass Coal Scuttle measures, 16.00 inches H X 12.00 inches W X 12.00 inches D, and although originally intended to hold coal, this scuttle could be adapted to hold kindling wood, or change the venue completely and use it as an ice bucket. |
